I originally met Sheila through a mutual friend. However, it wasn't until we started planning the final weeks of her wedding together that I got to know her and her then fiancé (now husband!) Brian much better. And boy am I glad I did! It was such a privilege to help plan and execute such a beautiful day for such an incredibly kind, down-to-earth couple.
The day started with Sheila and Brian getting ready next door to one another, with the first look right outside the two locations. The bridal party headed into a trolley to take pictures around Chicago before heading over to the venue for the ceremony and reception. Following their nuptials, Sheila and Brian hosted a standing reception of heavy hors d'oeuvres so that guests could mingle and dance the night away.
The day incorporated a number of personal touches, including Sheila's sister serving as the officiant, a blending of wine as a part of the ceremony, Western wedding garb for the first part of the evening and Indian wedding attire for the second part, and some of Sheila and Brian's favorite treats, including a macaroon tower for dessert!
Many very talented Chicago wedding professionals made this day possible, including Volo Restaurant Wine Bar (a huge shout out to April and her team!), Lorenzo de Gregorio Photography, Steve's Flower Market, Cook Au Vin and DJ Chicago.
