Corporations and nonprofit organizations exist to meet specific goals. Often planning events takes time and resources away from what you and your employees do best. We work with each client to determine needs and how we can best partner with you and create a custom plan. We can then take care of the details and event staffing and you can focus on meeting your objectives.
Below are some pictures from some recent real corporate and nonprofit events we’ve planned.
Food For Greater Elgin Gala
Grand Victoria Casino
In 2018, the Food For Greater Elgin fundraising event was held at Grand Victoria Casino, in their newly remodeled ballroom overlooking the Fox River. With over 265 guests, this event had more participants than any year before, and also raised over $50,000, which was a $25% increase from the year before. The evening was centered around food and beverage tastings, but also included some games, a photo booth, prizes, a raffle, a silent auction and live jazz music. Founded in 2011, FFGE is the largest client-choice food pantry in the Elgin area. Photos were taken by Gil Feliciano.
Felix Goldrush Album Release Party
Brooklyn-based artist Felix Goldrush debuted his premier album, “Deeper than Gold” at an October event at Kinfolk 94 in New York City. The album presents an honest portrait of the depths of human emotion, covering topics like love, obsession and heartache. The show was opened by artist Mariami and photographed by Bearded Monkey Photography. We branded, planned and executed the album release party, and created the favors for the evening!
Food For Greater Elgin Gala
Food For Greater Elgin's fourth annual Pallet to Palate fundraising event was held at The Haight. The event included 250 participants, a 25% increase in attendance from the previous year and raised 68% more funds than the year before to help make a difference in the community. The evening featured chefs and mixologists from the Elgin-area, each of which provided tastings of their favorite menu items. From BBQ to Italian to Indian to French, there were scrumptious tidbits of all types to try, as well as a bar stocked with wine and craft beer. A new addition to this year's event included a "passport", in which guests visited four interactive stations to learn about the work of Food For Greater Elgin. The evening also included a short program, raffle and featured a live jazz band from Backthird Entertainment. The event was captured by James Harvey Photography.
Piper Mansion, right on Lake Michigan, made the perfect backdrop for this intimate industry luncheon. About 20 guests enjoyed hors d’oeuvres, a three-course meal and a coffee bar, while also getting to chat with colleagues and listen to a presentation. The linens were selected to be a nod at the fall season.
Pan-African Association Gala
The Ivy Room
We had the privilege of planning the Pan-African Association's annual Culture Without Borders gala at The Ivy Room. The event raised the most money it had ever raised before. The evening started off with a cocktail reception, silent auction and raffle. It led into a plated dinner and program and concluded with passed desserts. We had many incredible folks and groups involved in the evening. Sarah Schulte, news reporter for ABC 7 News, was the emcee. Two refugees, Semere and Francine, shared their stories. Dance group Afrikan Heat from University of Illinois at Chicago and master drummer Prince Malonga with Beto Bantu performed and two fashion designers showed off new pieces in a fashion show. The event was captured by Nancy Valladolid.
Chicago Auto Show Toyota Booth McCormick Place
At the Chicago Auto Show at McCormick Place, each company strives to build a booth that sets itself apart from the rest. This booth was designed in partnership with Toyota and Toyota representatives; the goal was to make sure that the branding was clear, the logo and tagline were easily absorbed by attendees, and that the booth was interactive and engaging so that it attracted guests even amidst all the other activity at the show.
We were back again to work with RefugeeOne to plan and execute their second annual conference for community leaders at the Gratz Center. The goal of the event was to help equip and engage leaders from around the Chicago area so that they could become better plugged into the work of RefugeeOne. Attendees had an opportunity to attend several plenary sessions, enjoyed global snacks and took part in a couple out of over a dozen workshop options. Nearly 200 people participated in the event.
Nursing School Reunion Brunch Schmidt Ballroom
Each year, graduating classes around the country get together for reunions. These events are opportunities to reconnect with fellow students from their class, relive the memories and network for future projects. Alumni of the Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing joined for a champagne brunch and to celebrate alumni who were being awarded.
Bridgeport Art Center
With nearly 400 guests joining for a cocktail reception, dinner and program, the 2014 RefugeeOne gala, held at the Bridgeport Art Center, was a huge success and raised more funds than any year before. The event included a cocktail reception with a silent auction and raffle, a seated dinner, and a program.
After Work Mixer
A private company invited about 100 employees, supporters and clients to an annual cocktail reception with heavy hors d’oeuvres and specialty drinks. The event also included a program and a small silent auction for a local non-profit. We worked in partnership with their staff to plan and staff this event so that their team could focus on connecting with clients and supporters.
Chicago Human Rhythm Project Gala Museum of Contemporary Art
The Chicago Human Rhythm Project celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2015. While the organization typically offers a gala each year, it wanted to raise the bar and throw a special event for the anniversary year. The evening activities took place at the Museum of Contemporary Art and started off with a cocktail reception and silent auction, moved into a performance by Tommy Tune and concluded with dinner and a live auction.
Law Offices Christmas Party
House of Blues
The Law Offices of J Jeltes, Ltd wanted to throw a Christmas party for their clients and supporters at the legendary House of Blues in their private Divine Room. About 30 guests attended the event, which included a bar and heavy hors d’oeuvres. This event was executed in partnership with Escandar Group Events.
An artist’s group built furniture using reclaimed wood and other materials. They showcased their work in an apartment that was staged as a housewarming so that the pieces could be displayed. We hosted the party so people could come view their work.
Annually, RefugeeOne invites supporters from the community to join them for a fundraising gala. This event has grown each and every year. With nearly 450 guests joining for a cocktail reception, dinner, program, live band and dancing, the 2015 gala, held at VenueOne, was a huge success and raised more funds than any year before.
Private Reception: FatDuck
This reception at FatDuck was for about 30 people and included heavy hors d’oeuvres and dessert. The event was held in a tented area and decorated with hanging lights, lanterns and balloons. This event was executed in partnership with Escandar Group Events.
